ACHILLEA

Picture
Achillea, a summer flowering perennial, easy to grow and look after. Once established will spread quite quickly and will restrict the growth of other plants around so care needs to be taken with the spread of the root system. Throws up flower spikes and will flower for several weeks and look great in clumps.
At the end of the season remove the flower spikes and and dead foliage around the base of the plant and leave to over winter. New foliage will appear in the spring.
An easy plant to look after and care for, just be careful with the root spread. Although these can be easily removed and replanted elsewhere, these are clearly visible around the base of the main plant.

The foliage of Achillea is quite easy to spot, This is a small plant, older plants will have the same foliage but will be much bigger and the length of the spiny leaves will be longer.
