30/11/-0001 0 Comments BlogWell today I thought I would tidy up a section in the front garden. At the side by my front door. A few years ago I placed some extra block paving at the end of the drive as I was a little lazy to do a permanent fix. It was intended to be a temporary fix until I did it properly later in the year. As you can see I have already moved the block paving out and really it's only a small section at the side of the lawn. I am going to take a bit of the lawn out so the bed looks a little more natural. After removing the section of the lawn the bed is wider and fits in with what's already there. Unfortunately underneath the removed lawn is pure clay so I need to dig some of that out and replace with some compost and topsoil. Now the soil is a little better I have put in a few plants that I have just hanging around, luckily I seem to have lots of plants around so I can fill the new section in straight away. Just to finish it off I have put a little barrier up to separate the bed and the drive. I bought some plastic fencing bits a while ago as it was on sale and never got around to using it. To be honest I thought after it came it was not that great, but here it actually looks okay and just finishes off the end of the drive, tidies it up well.
