The summer is almost over and the Autumn is almost upon us. Its the time of the year when we cut back and plant spring flowering bulbs. I would say I am halfway through the cutting back for the winter and have, not even started the task of the Spring flowering bulbs. This year I have not spent as much time in the garden as i would have liked and things have got a little out of control in certain parts. Now its time to sort out the parts that have gotten a little over grown. So cutting back hard can be the answer and also digging some out to either re plant somewhere else or remove. I will always save some of the plants in pots just in case I want to plant somewhere else. You can never be sure that the plants might not be suitable for another part of the garden. The only issue with that is the space to keep the plants that are in pots, Along the side of the house is tray after tray of plants waiting for a place in the garden. All I know is I need to hurry up and get the rest of the garden in order before the weather changes for the worst. Hopefully i still have a few weeks until the weather does finally turn.
