Iris Reticulata, a dwarf spring flowering bulb, quite quick to flower after the Snowdrops have appeared, around 15 cm in height, with narrow erect leaves, usually deep purple, or dark blue in colour, with a yellow stripe on each fall. Extremely low maintenance as when the flowers finish, the leaves die back quickly and usually do not require removal. The flowers can be quite short lived, in fact, blink and you will miss them. I recommended them for any garden, I would also place them in a place where you will see them, so you can enjoy their short beautiful show of colour at the start of the year.
My name is Jonathan and I enjoy working in my garden in my spare time. I am no professional, just an amateur. My second love is photography, shooting the flowers in my garden and of course sharing them with people who share my passions.
