Nigella, a simply beautiful annual summer flower. Easy to grow and needs very little attention, apart from dead heading during the flowering season. I have them in a raised flower bed and they self seed every year. 3 years ago, I sprinkled 2 packets of seeds that I had free from a magazine. At the end of the season I allowed the last flowers to go to seed. Of course they seeded in to the bed and now I do the same. At the end of the season, I will clear away the dead foliage and then next year new plants will germinate.
My name is Jonathan and I enjoy working in my garden in my spare time. I am no professional, just an amateur. My second love is photography, shooting the flowers in my garden and of course sharing them with people who share my passions.
