Valerian, a common plant around the gardens here in the UK, native to Europe & Asia. Easy to grow and prolific in seeding itself, it provides plenty of colour during the summer. At the end of the season, Valerian just needs cutting back to the new growth at the bottom and it is ready for next year. Be mindful of the seeds that float off during the flowering season, you will find many little Valerians popping up around the garden. Not a bad thing really, just a little more work if they grow where you do not want them too.
My name is Jonathan and I enjoy working in my garden in my spare time. I am no professional, just an amateur. My second love is photography, shooting the flowers in my garden and of course sharing them with people who share my passions.
