24/9/2013 1 Comment Place Visit: Clent HillsThis morning it was a dull dreary Autumn day, So I thought I would get up early before the sun burns away the morning dew and see what I can shoot today. About ten minutes drive from me is the lovely peaceful setting of the Clent Hills. Parking the car in the car park and the view up the road which reduces into a very small one car width road my attention is brought to the paths leading off in to the hills. The path leads off into the distance and the call of the clear fresh air is overpowering. Neatly pathed off and dry from the lack of rain recently, the path splits into two and gives a dilemma of which way to go.... It is a perfect place for walking and enjoying nature first hand. Quiet and away from the noise of the big city and sanctuary of peace. Nature also gives rise to some interesting textures. Either the moss on a tree or the bark itself, nature has a way a clawing things back and clearing up it's on rubbish. if only we were as good at it. The view from the base of Walton Hill across the fields and looking onto the next hill in Clent. It is still early and the sun is still working on burning away the morning haze. The pathway leading up the hill and it is interesting how the path has the natural drainage gully in it, even here nature provides its own way of getting rid of excess water. Or below I could take the other way up the hill. I did not however assent the summit as I wanted to go over to the other hill in Clent. So leaving Walton Hill for others to enjoy that day, I moved on. I will post further on that in the future.
